I took a flight on 7/9/07 night 1045pm. Mixed feelings inside me, Because this is the 1st time I'm actually travelling to overseas alone. I'm too homegrown le... I believe.. That's why I always admire my colleagues who come over to Singapore to work. KH, Lau, Brian, David, even Richall... A lady colleague and come over to Singapore to work... She's better than me in all these exposure.
So this is the 1st time I have to learn my way thru the airport, understand the check-in procedures, find the correct gate to board my plane. So when I knew I had to travel alone to Seoul, I quickly went ard seeking advice from people, hoping to get some knowledge on the airport,procedures, even directions ard the airport. Especially KH, he helped me alot!! Cos He knew about my plight... And deeply sympathised me...
haaahaa...
So off i go, to the boarding gate at 10pm and went to my seat and I found out its a airbus, Oh by the way, I took a Business Class for both trip to seoul n us. I seriously think AIRBUS business seats are better.
1st of all, the movies can be played anytime you want, the seats got multiple adjustments, and its very cosy and comfortable.
So for the night flight, I only managed to rest my eyes for 2hours before I realised I had arrived in Seoul Incheon Airport... Over there, I got alot of problems leh.. 1st Its was 5plus 6am in the morning, the tourist information isnt open yet.. There wasnt any internet connection in the airport unless you pay.
So i need to go and roam ard until the tourist information opened for the day and after getting the necessary information, I took a bus 602 all the way to Dongdaemun Station...
THe rest is hell man!! Ta ma de, due to some miscommunication with the Driver, i got alighted at a wrong stop and I got to walk like 20min back to the orginal destination that I wanted to go, and I was carrying a backpack tat was light, but the lappy bag was rather heavy though.
I finally found the Tourist Information!! The reason why I'm searching for 1 is because..... I DUNNO my way back to the airport so.... hee.... I need to find the bus stop for the airport bus back to the Incheon Airport. As I walked in the crowd, I had tried asking people the actual location I was at, but too bad, the language just don't click, I freaking could not understand their korean...
When I stepped into the Tourist Information Centre, the guy inside was rather arrogant but I don't care. I just want my INFORMATION!! GIVE IT TO ME!!! ARGH!! hahaha... Surprisingly, he can speak very fluent English... Pretty impressed by that young guy! Time was 945am when I got all the information I need to know, next thing on my mind, to explore the Dongdaemun market. I scanned through the map again, and I decided to roam ard 1st as I waited for the Doosen Tower to open at 1030am.
I went ard and saw alot of funny stuffs that I never get to see in Singapore, like the shopping centres would employed young pretty gals welcoming vehicles going into their car parks. They just look like bangkok to me, sorry for that, its true except bangkok got lots of overhead bridges but Seoul got none of them but lots of underpasses... And the drivers in Seoul were so freaking reckless.. haha, to be frank, i got scared by them!
Doosen Tower
Alright, ard walking ard, time passes and the Doosen Tower opens!! As I walked towards the main entrance, I already saw long queues of women waiting for the guard to unlock the doors for them. I went in with them and all of them seems to know what they want, grabbing clothes and showing to friends, I made my way to Basement 2, and I found the fast food restaurant that I want for my breakfast. BURGER KING. I tried to grab some food on the streets but I don't trust the hawkers... hahaa...
Inside the Doosen Tower, I found out that B2 is selling luxury goods like LEVI'S, and other branded stuffs. Ok, the prices are more expensive than Singapore.
B1 to level 2 are all women wears, ranging from office wears, to hip hop and causal wears. Level 3 is for Men and level 4 are accessories for women and Level 5 is shoes and bags ( I forgot if I rem. wrongly its level 4 for accessories or Level 5, anyway, who cares, I don't buy) and they have up to level 9 which is foodcourt, and level 8 is coffee and some finger food stuffs. I couldnt rem the level 6 and 7, I think its linen and some souvenirs for tourists. Within 2 hours, I walked out of the building... Nothing interested me at all.. DaMn KH, still say I can walk the whole day there... Craps.. haha...

I received news of me been selected by my Boss and Mill manager to go US for a Process Workshop and mill benchmarking...
I had worked in Kimberly-clark for 4 years and I missed the chance to be sent overseas for training when we were starting the mill 4 years back. I always use it to tell my colleagues that I and my partner, Lau, did not went for the overseas training... haha... Who knows... I got it this time.. Lau might be going to Taiwan for training of another machine.
ok, back to my trip, I was supposed to be going with my female colleague, a grade change engineer in my co. A capable little lady, malaysian, I admired her courage to stay on and work in KC, haahaa.. pple in there will understand the SHIT we have to take everyday... Stay ON GIRL!! :)
Jus 1 week before my departure for US, She informed me that she would be taking her bf along for this trip.. Iwas like... WTF!!?? later on, I found out the reason and I accepted her explanation although she did not handle the matter in a more professsional manner.
Pple who knew about my situation told me they pitied me but asked me to be like a professional and respect my Mill manager who gave me the chance to travel. I thought thru and realised I had been behaving like a cry baby. SOrry everyone who I had shown a stupid and childish attitude during work...

On the eve of my departure, My dear MTL, Hua Ge, specially brought forward the Tier change of LAO Product, because we are running a difficult product count, 32 diapers in a bag product. The Optima Bagger would need special attention to count and I assumed he probably want me to stabilise the bagger before I leave.
The next best thing... The Bagger had problems running, with the clutch kicking out out of nowhere. I went to inspect and found that the shaft holding the clutch was worn out and in the end we spent the whole day till 8pm waiting for the new spare to arrive. In the end, alot of pple stayed with me to do the installation of the new spare. I'm not the main reason why everyone stays, but its a kind of bond and teamwork we had established over the years. THanks guys!! Thanks for all your valuable information and suggestions. Sorry to those that I had offended during the installation. Doesnt mean it at all... :)
Finally we got the main machine running at 10pm and things go on very well... I feel very happy alth my luggage had not been packed yet... At least I see the machine running before i leave for US... and next... US.. HERE I COME..

That is to have ernie back by my side... He's old, feelin sick... struggling with his little fragile determination to survive... That's the spirit of my dog!! YES.. I seems so helpless.. I cant do anything at all!!! He's alone in the animal hospital..put on drip and medication... How I wish I can do something to ease his pain... BUT..All I can do... tears dropping for him... Pls dun take ernie away from me!! PLEASE!!! SOB...DeViL bE wItH DaN.

Been awhile since I posted..Just thinking back what I had been posting for the past few months too.. Nothing much but just pics of things happening

Anyway, Life has been pretty harsh on me recently, ;p , getting projects and lots of "fire fighting" issues to handle for the production line. Sometimes got to work for more than 16 hours and it made me feel real tired and haggard!!

le, I wouldn't even consider marriage if I cant give my other half a better leading life though I said, money is very important in a relationship because in case, 1 fine day I fall... I would not need her to support me financially but rather she wouldnt fall with me.. because nothing matters more than that. Im very sure people would start saying " thats a wrong mentality, wrong thinking etc etc..." but back to the very basic of life, what's the thing that drive people working and living? Its Money...
Enough of the serious stuffs, look at my pics in this posts.. I had a very busy week back then. Went for 2 company farewell dinners for 2 expats who were leaving and going back to Aust.. all the best to John and Rae!! You guys r POWER!! ;)

On the Valentine's Day. the Ikea people made their delivery on time and GOSH... I was SUPER impressed by their efficiency!! 1 wardrobe and 1 bookcase.. everythin took less than 20min to get it done... WOW!! And they were super friendly and nice.. Giving me advice here and there.. Ok... After all the furnitures were assembled and put in place..
This is how my room looks..
So overall, I must say my room is still lacking of something.. After much thinking, I realised its a mirror, a painting, a LCD TV and .... SHELVES for my wardrobe. hee... When I purchased the wardrobe, the shelves were out of stock.. DAMN...
I had spent about $3k for my room...Hopefully, some more things can be put up in my room and make it into a real DREAM ROOM of mine..DeViL bE wItH DaN.
I took leave on the the last few days before CNY to pack up and clear all the shit out of my room and also to prepare for the delivery of my bed and furniture..
Rememeber from my previous post, i said i was waitin for the bed delivery to come at 4pm to 6pm rite??
ok... I waited till 6pm and my fren helped me to call and check with the delivery.. THe delivery guy said he was caught up at another customer place at Tanglin Mall.. SO would be late.. In the end, I waited till 9plus almost 10 then the bed arrive... Ta ma de...Let me wait and wait.. Well.. the bed turns out quite good.. hee.. but there's a small cut on the divan, but it would be replaced after CNY. No problem..
Anyway, Here's the pic of my bed..
The mattress is Dunlopillo Mattress. DUCHNESS. The headboard and divan is also from Dunlopillo.. Total it cost abt $1.9k. The mattress got a 1 inch Latex at the top. So I dun have to flep the mattress for life. Hee.. suitable for lazy people like me.

Pretty Busy for the week...
Anyway, After Terry's wedding, the next up coming event, Valentine's Day, Chinese New Yr, and also Revamping of my Bedroom. Damn... It almost killed all my brain cells, planning, buying, ordering and lastly layout.
Let me give a rough idea about my bedroom's condition . It was Freaking old with all the furnitures coming from DUNNO where de.. lol.. All mismatch! Next, the Room had not been Painted since 15 years? haha... I have alot of Rubbish sleeping with me every night. Mags, toys, old stuffs that I don't need. Wonder why I insist on keepin them last time? Hmm... Anyway, the motivation to revamp my room is.... hee... Chinese New Year is coming la.. hahaha... Typical reason but Im using it to push me to keep my room clean and neat.
1st Step: Spring Cleaning!
Equipment Needed: Vacuum Cleaner, Trash Bag+ Determination
When I start to clearing out my stuffs to throw, I would start saying "Er, think keep this, still can use...Still new...etc" Then I realised Im back to the square one again.. Ta MA de.. Round 2 Starts.... this time, i threw all old mags, my Vcds, Anime, old decorations on my ceiling (my twinkle twinkle little stars la.. ;p) that contributes to almost 5 to 6 BIG trash bags.
2nd Step: PAINTING!~~
The Painter was recommened by Dear.. He is her Uncle.. Pro Painter! Guys must be asking why I don't paint myself.. Well, I never like painting because I don't want to get my whole body, hair covered with spots of paint and I was never NeVer never GOOD at Arts before. I guess in My whole academic life, the only time I passed my art & crafts was in kindergarten? lolz... I just had to pay her Uncle a small fee and he would help me to do everythin.. filling plus painting and even Drilling? lol.. cos I got a new Decor to be put up and helped me with it too.. haha.. Good.. save my time for other stuffs.. ;)
Oh ya, her Uncle got a shock when he came into the room.. He was lost for words and I guess he never thought that the condition would be that bad although dear had warned him beforehand that it was a old room. ;p In the end, the paint that he brought along was not enough as he need to do afew more coatings to cover the old stains/paint.. He had to go out and buy 2 more cans of paint to finish the work.. In the evening, my room has revived with fresh coats of paints. beautiful white and yellow...
This is the outcome of my room.. Im still waiting for my bed and other furnitures to come in. So just post this pic 1st.. hee
3rd Step: ShoPPing!~~
we went ard looking for furnitures and beds for my bed room. Dear Loves Ikea alot (dunno why, crazy gal.. ;p) so majority of my stuffs were from there...Saw alot of nice furnitures and carpet.. I would definitely get 1 nice carpet if my room still has room for it.. hee...
Guess I would stop here 1st cos Im still waiting for my bed to be delivered. They had arranged the time fromm 4pm to 6pm.. Should be here anytime le ba..

nd Feb 07', my GOOD BUDDY, MR Terry and Miss Jacqueline BIG DAY.. Finally after 9yrs of courtship, they had moved on together to another part of their life, CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Once we reached the ball room, we saw the Bride and Groom.. Wow..
Jac look fabulous !! haha... same for Mr Terry.. Handsome guy too!! We saw alot of our KC colleagues.. A small gathering for us.. For the Food, I would say it don't deserve the price that Terry told me.. There wasn't any abalone and the shark fin doesnt taste good too.. But overall, the ambience was good. There were some crop up during the Dinner, like playing the wrong song for the bride & groom walk in.. No one notice it until Terry told me after the dinner.. Wahaha...
So my Friday evening ends with the dinner... Tired tired day....
